I hear you. I collect music like some type of sea-creature. Build
the library, build the library, build the library... and then I
listen to like, the same stuff-- or roll random, and go "I should
remember that I like this" when I hear some song, but never tag it or
whatever.
Probably because of extensive moving and forking and whatnot-- bunch
of duplicates, I clean 'em out using a modified dupe checker, but,
there are just issues... I should store the damn things in a SVN
repository... maybe then I wouldn't accidentally overwrite the tagged
ones with non-tagged ones, and other hilarity. :-)
I have to leave it running overnight when I do the cleanup scripts--
reminds me of downloading games, or 3d rendering, back in the day.
*chug* *chug* *chug*
Makes me sorta smile. At least it's still easy to bog these damn
things down, right? It's probably like "I could be protein folding,
or searching for Signs from Above, and you've got me doing /what/?" --
or maybe it's happy just flipp'n them bits.
