I see some VR googles for like, $150, that do head tracking and plug
directly into the new 3d stuff on some HD televisions (I didn't even
know some TVs were doing that! Wow.).
I don't know how much a wii-remote is, but $150 doesn't sound too
outlandish. With bonuses, like the apparent 50 foot screen, or
whatnot-- and the theoretical [eventual] ability to have more than one
person playing the same game-- no more crappy split screens!
(Someday-- you'd still need like, two video sources)
And I'm not saying the wii stuff ain't cool, it is, way cool.
Someone, back in the day (I think it was Sega), was pushing a VR
headset. I remember that you could mod it to work with the PC.
Strange how fast some tech moves, right? I remember the
predictions... revolutionize the so and so...
wonder if we're just about "ready" for it, for real, now? That'd be cool, neh?
