Only part of Virginia Bruce. Its not so much of a red state any more. Virginia 
elected a democratic party governor 2 times running, and has just elected a 
democratic party senator (James Webb). It looks like it will be doing the same 
later this year to replace Senator John Warner (R). It also has a democratic 
party majority in the state senate.
