Speaking of cats, I heard an odd piece of cat theory this weekend.
Apparently 30-50% of the worlds human population is infected with
Toxoplasmosis which is carried by cats. Some scientists did tests on rats
infected with toxoplasmosis, and the disease actually causes the infected
rats to seek out and want to be near cats! I wish I had more details, but
that was the jist of it.
So the theory is that maybe part of the reason why half the population likes
cats is because they have taxoplasmosis....
