Yeah... the two weren't actually CONNECTED. The first was just talking about GFCI and its ability to save the lives of stupid people. The second was just an example of how stupid people often circumvent safety devices and regret it. I probably should have talked about the guy that duct-taped the spring-loaded "Auto-stop" handle on his lawn mower because it was too annoying. Or maybe the fella that took the metal cages off of his fans because they blocked too much air?
