The people driven by their religious ideologies have the ideas that seem to be the most at odds with what *I*, Brian Grant, feel is important. That's why they are the most dangerous, in my opinion, because what they want scares me the most. I'm not trying to be trite here... Not sure why you separated Christianity and Catholicism but.....yes, this nation is predominately Christian. This nation has a lot of doctors in it too...and dentists....and plumbers....and janitors....and dancers....and poets....and on and on. There are an infinite number of factors that help make up what a person is, and what they believe. Their religion is just one of those guiding principles. To a zealot, it is THE guiding principle, and it rises above all else. It seems to consume them, to wholly define them, and it tends to drive every one of their actions. Usually, it drives them to promote ideas that I find counter to the freedoms on which this nation was founded. And that makes them dangerous.
