I think you should check out http://www.oovoo.com.  It is really great for 
grandparent-grandkid chat because it is SO easy to use.  downloads free in 
about 2 minutes, and uses much less bandwidth than most programs so you don't 
need a super fancy computer.  You can even video chat with up to 6 people at 
one time, send video emails, text messages, instant messages, and leave 
voicemails.  I am working with them now, so if you have any questions, please 
let me know.  

oh yeah, and I prefer the logitech cams too!  simple simple simple
