so i tried this. always looking for a good application so that my kids can share a webcam session with their grandparents. 1) i just received an unsolicited email from them advertising some crap. i don't remember stating that i wanted to receive e-mails. the e-mail had no means that i could see to change my preferences or opt out. nor did the web site. nor did the application itself. 2) i really dislike getting unsolicited emails, so i figured i'd go ahead and uninstall the app. there's no uninstaller. had to go into the control panel and add/remove programs. i think a lot of home users won't be aware of this, and will essentially be stuck with the app. i think the lack of an uninstaller was a calculated move to make it more difficult to remove the application. the app may be great. i don't know. never got a chance to use it. really don't like the apparent tactics the company uses tho. i expect a lot of folks won't either. -- Evelyn the dog, having undergone further modification pondered the significance of short-person behaviour in pedal depressed, pan-chromatic resonance, and other highly ambient domains.
