Depends what you are into I guess.... Playstation2-linux is, apparently, due for release on May 22nd.... The kit for $199, includes a 40GB drive, USB mouse and keyboard and a network adapter, + linux.
Now for the price of Windows alone, you can turn the PS2 into a fully operational thin network client... I'll be plugging it into my home network, and using it to connect to my MP3 jukebox... and check email and browse while I'm kicking back on the lounge... rather than going down to my home office and sitting in amongst the bugs! :^) That's not for everyone... but if you are a techno-geek, that's something you won't be doing with the xbox in a hurry!! I point blank refuse to go xbox because of it's connection with MS, and their track record. Besides... I have a PS2, I don't need to upgrade yet... the games are plenty good enough for me on the PS2. Let's have the same convsersation in 12 months time, and get peoples opinions of the boxes then! :^) N On Fri, 2002-03-22 at 02:21, Shawn Regan wrote: > I just bought Xbox.
