I'm at work right now, and on a wind'ohs box, but have a macbook at home. 

Look at VMWare or Parellells and then run Vista in a virtual machine. You can 
install whatever Windows specific software on that. There are optional setting 
on both so it appears to be another node on your local network. That way you 
can run SQLServer (for instance) on the virtual box and access it on the 
windows side. Other stuff, CFEclipse of course, JBoss (BTW CF8 runs great on my 
MacBook under JBoss), MAMPS, NeoOffice. I'd also look at myEclipse as well - 
the database and Java/J2EE ehancements are well worth the $60 a year. I'll 
compile a list of programs and resources when I get home and post them.
