some other tips that might have helped me out if I'd have figured them out
quicker:
1. Yes, uninstalling a program is as easy as dragging it to the trash can.
(AppTrap will make sure to delete any related preference files)
2. nope, the delete key is not the same, it's the equivalent of the
backspace. fn+delete is windows delete
3. If you're using vmware and windows, go to the keyboard settings and check
the box to use the function keys as normal function keys
4. Create a folder inside your user folder called 'Applications', install
all your apps there, if ever you need to nuke your profile and it's
associated programs, just drag that 'Applications' folder into the trash.
Plus, it's easier to tell what you've installed yourself.
5. Immediately configure the trackpad to use two finger gestures....the two
finger scrolling is cool.
6. Immediately turn off auto-mounting of dmg files in safari.
