Yeah, we're big Heli RC enthusiasts, too. Got a few, plus Real Flight 3.5 sim and three expansion packs.
Definitely DO NOT get into it without a few dozen hours on the simulator first. RC helis are harder to fly than the real thing because of the disorientation of having to fly one point of view from a different point of view. So do yourself a favor and also buy a couple of crash kits (main blades, tail blades, etc) when you first get your bird.
