Generally the same as you would clean the lens of a camera or glasses.  
Soft, lent free cloth on any exterior surface.  Is this a refractor or 
reflector telescope?

Another point, the higher the magnification the more sensitive to 
vibration the viewing will be, usually requiring more substantial and 
stable support of the telescope.  I add this as the tripod|stands 
provided with many basic telescopes are worthless for most practical 
purposes.
