Ah. The not seeing a problem with it aspect. Here, I've heard like "hey white-boy, where's the white-bread" or something. Maybe with gringo and in spanish, but same diff-- but /trying/ to be insulting, vs. the "redneck" type racism that's O.K. by most folks. Call me a cracker on T.V., I doubt there'd be much outcry. Call you a hymie(?) on T.V., bet there'd be outcry. =] > I personally don't think of myself as a victim but when looking at the > double standard used against Israel, I see how the victim feeling comes > about. Yeh, victim feelings are > easy in such a case. Hmm. See, I don't have that cultural "mecca" type of deal. There is nowhere in the world "for me", besides whereever I'm at. So I'm not very vested in Israel, per se. It's just a place with lots of cool history, for me. I fail to see how Israel is a victim, which may be due, in part, to my lack of vestment. Seems like there's a pretty well laid out history of who, how, what and why. Those rockets aren't being fired for no reason, as far as I can see. But then again, I saw that special where they had the palestine kid and the israel kid, who were buds 10 years ago, and then they put them back together-- wow! That was like the "brown eye, blue eye" thing-- dogma is the real bitch. Sad in these days that folks can be raised, or adults indoctrinated, with so much hate... someday, we'll evolve past that, and learn to hate extra-terrestrials (or maybe computers). Think universally, not globally, folks!
