I didn't know they still even sold 3 to be honest. On the other hand
the improvements you see should be to throughput and I think range. I
am not sure it will solve the line drop problem in and of itself
unless your specific cable is bad or has a bad connector. Nonetheless
it is something inexpensive that is worth a try.
