Agreed.  People only control segments of Iraq.

As to the recent actions against the Sadr mahdi dudes, you don't talk 
peace when your winning.

Look into some of the blogs of soldiers that were there.  This was a 
very real success for a fledgling army and air force, especially their 
air force.  Were there mistakes?  Yes, mainly at the top.  Poor prior 
planning produces piss poor performance.  They also threw a couple of 
units into the fire that weren't ready for it.

What it comes down to was this was the Iraqis taking their first steps 
at running operations.  We have been doing it for over 200 years, and we 
still mess it up sometimes.
