I grew up on a fishin' lake in southeast Michigan... Little Portage Lake in pinckney.. full of weeds and fish and turtles. My folks used to charge people $1 a car to park on our front lawn in the winter to go ice fishing. We'd have 40 or so cars parked on a good cold Saturday or Sunday.
My grandpa and grandma had a place on a lake in the summer up near Tawas City too. I'd say 95% of everything I've ever caught ahs been bluegill. I'd get all excited if I caught a nice sunfish, crappie, or yellow perch. Heck, anything that wasn't a bluegill.
