I don't disagree with this, As a programmer you responsibility is to make 
everybody happy. the company, the client, the public(maybe), and yourself.

Your job is to produce a quality project, lets forego the discussion of 
methodology, I think we can all agree that to develop with a reasonable 
methodology is better than not, and when working in a team, it works best 
for everybody to do the same thing.

But as far as the project is concerned, you have an opinion as a user. You 
can tell the client that it is not a good idea because of this. Or you can 
offer suggestion on how to accomplish the same thing in a better way.

Because your work on this project may determine how you, your company, and 
your client are perceived by the public, it is important to ensure the best 
possible product. This means explaining to the client or the project 
manager why something is not a good idea, and offering suggestions why.
