No disrespect, but I think that's a cop out. If people want sensationalized
news, its still news. If people want fiction, they should watch shows that
actually say that their fiction. For the media to present fiction as news is
just wrong and blaming people for their actions is just a way to absolve the
media of their responsibility.
Do classes in media teach truth and responsibility anymore?

Oh, and just to put the burden of responsibility onto the media again, the
reporter in question here puts together books on a regular basis on his
reports on the middle east. It's not a matter of truth for him, its a matter
of money.
