Actually I'd go back to the dealer and see what kind of deal you can
work. That is, if you're financed through the dealer. If through a
bank, you should probably talk to them and see what options you have.

The problem with having so much outstanding on the loan is getting
enough out of the sale of the vehicle to cover settlement of the loan.
When we dropped our Honda Odyssey a few years ago we still owed a lot
on it and we had to pay out a settlement which was less than the
amount of the loan (factored over time) but more than the value of the
car.

sucked...

course, you could always total it :-)
