Saudi Arabia (for example) is an orthodox Islamic state which some would
call fundamentalist, or at least exporting fundamentalist views (Wahabism).
If Obama is considered an apostate from Islam then any contact between him
and Saudi Arabia will have that hanging over the meeting. As an Islamic
state, they would HAVE to offer him return to the religion or (according to
strict interpretation) death.

Remember that we're talking religion here and in modern times we've seen
that Muslim fundamentalist are more than happy to kill and die for their
religion. An apostate president is a double target. An Islamic state that
allows contact with an apostate president is asking to be attacked by
fundamentalist physically, politically, etc.
