Sounds like the "rice burner" type bias. That's old-skool. Heh. There's enough skooter heads 'round here to make your own little clique, regardless of make/model... and I don't know what it is, but there's something special about riding in a pack, even if just tooling around town. At any rate, I'm one of those, "show up with whatever and be accepted" types. Albuquerque being one of them weird places where you always seem to know someone probably helps (seriously, it's such a powerful force, that you can go anywhere in the freaking world and run into a neighbor from down the street or something). I get (or got, as I don't really do squat these days) along with pretty much every clique. Or at least parts of 'em. :-) Course, there'd be unending pressure to "conform" (buy a more powerful one, or different model, etc.), but there always is. That's how society works. Water off this ducks back, for the most part. And I do like picking up the various jive talk vocabularities, history, etc.. And mixing them up (like cooking, not confusion)-- helps pick out other cross-disciplinarians, and is fun ta-boot. ;] Wow.
