Both I suspect. I suspect that given the strong genetic evidence that what will be eventually determined that the significant point is that its biologically based rather than a "choice". In other words the right wing or fundie response is flat out wrong. As such discriminating against gays and lesbians is the same as discriminating against blacks. In other words they have the same legal protections against that sort of employment or social discrimination - ie the anti gay marriage legislation is simply unconstitutional.
