Actually, not really. I am fairly middle-of-the-road and often vacillate in who
I want to vote for. I most definitely have things I like and dislike about both
candidates and often spend a lot of time researching them to try and decide who
is going to fit what I care most about best. I always appreciate a good
discussion on politics, but in my family it tends to be more "how can any
intelligent person consider voting for so-and-so" which right now is Obama.
Like on July 4th I was at a parade with my sister and her family. She saw
someone wearing an Obama T-shirt and pointed it out to her husband "Look at
that!" like someone was doing something offensive in public. That type of
mindset and thinking is what bothers me most.

>Poof. That's the sound of each person's respective center of logic
>being consumed in a giant fireball of emotion. Feeding on fear and
>ignoring any alternate points of view people become more and more
>entrenched and frantic.

Yup, unfortunately, that very much is what politics in this country has become.
People really have lost the ability to think and decide for themselves and have
let groups both on the far right and far left drag us away from all the issues
that the majority of us *truly* care about.
