I didn't say you were restricting anyone's speech. It was an example of an issue that in my view is ill-served by a moderate approach. The compromises over free speech should be very very few. Genocide is another example of something it is hard to see both sides of.
To speak a bit less abstractly, if you think that someone has trashed the constitution, it's probably ok not to care too much about how much fun he would be as a drinking buddy. Personally, I like to take an approach that can't be explained without saying "on the other hand" a lot. But there are a lot of things going on right now where that is simply not possible. I know I keep bringing up water, but it's an important issue out here. A survival issue even. So yeah I get a little sarcastic over it and don't take admonitions to look on the sunny side of polluting new Mexico's water supply. See my point now?
