hehe right. That really depends. I am dealing with a situation right
now where the landlord is DEFINITELY breaking the law.

Yes it's certainly local. Probably county, possibly state. How big is
the rent increase? Is the issue just that you don't want to commit to
a lease right now? (Not saying it shouldn't be, just figuring out
what's up).
