Crap. Yes they are challenged, by theories that are a better explanation of the 
available data, that offer a more parsimonious explanation, and that is readily 
testable. ID fits none of the features for a scientific theory supplanting 
another. Classic examples are Newtonian physics supplanting Classical and 
Copernican models. 

ID simply does not fit within these paradigms of scientific change. Its not a 
more adequate explanation. The data behind it is paltry to say the least and 
can be explained more readily by current evolutionary theories. Besides show 
one study that has provided a better explanation than evolution to explain 
change over time among species.

Frankly the kid fails. by the rules, he cannot provide any data or empirical 
evidence for creationism. No amount of logic or reasoning applies, its not 
philosophy.
