It's our fault.

We put them in power.

We didn't hold them accountable.

But it's especially sad the the Republican Party didn't uphold the
only goals I'm aligned with-- less government, and responsible
spending.

Religion in the government:  Check.
Rich get richer:  sure.
Cronies in positions of power: of course!

I don't like those last three tho, as I'm more of a conservative.

Oh, lets not forget the wishy-washy-ness on torture and politically
motivated firing...

But at the end of the day, we the people are the responsible party.
