The original article said quite clearly that Emanuel opposed every reform
proposed by the Republicans. I didn't say it, they did. So if we're to
believe the article then we have to believe that the Republicans DID propose
reforms but were blocked. That deals with your claim of BS. I'm simply
repeating. No propaganda, just an attempt to make sure that the "bush is
always to blame" syndrome does not blind people to when he may be right. Not
saying he is/was, but at least I'm willing to read an article critically and
see who's at fault based on evidence, not emotion.

Did Bush control the senate as well? Did he have an automatic 1/2 or 2/3
majority? If not then your claim of 6 years of total control fails.
