I'll be honest, and say that it's personally a little frustrating to have so many Americans not be up to speed on what's going down in our country. Having an "undecided" in our midst, is a little strange. I know politics are not fun, and ain't polite dinner conversation. I'd rather spend my time talking about giant fighting mechanized robots, science & theology, or super colliders. There is a lot going down tho, and politics, evil as they are, effect our daily lives. > Because I care about something so stupid as taxation ... and there's this > whole other laundry list of issues going on - and because I haven't spoken > about them - I must not care - and maybe I'm rambling a little here and what > I'm trying to say isn't quite coming out in words.... but to me, some of > you, all take on these subjects, and as authoritative as you all sound on > most of them, you, not all of you, just some, sure make me feel real dumb > and that I'm better off sitting on the sidelines and keeping my mouth shut. You know what? Don't give two shits what anyone says. Being involved is praise-worthy, as it's a lot easier to avoid "the mess" and just not care, or sit on the side-lines and be entertained. > And if that's what I should do - someone should email me and tell me and > I'll never ask another dumb question about politics ever again. If someone does that, you re-direct that fucking email to > /dev/null I heartily believe that it's a lack of caring, and a fear of offending, that hamper really addressing the issues. There's plenty we all will never agree on, but there are some things that I think both (ha! like it's only two!)-- all sides can agree on. All sides of the populace, at least. I think there are some sides that really don't want what is best for the people (like big business and the government itself). So, for what it's worth, I'm sorry if I've come off as "one of those people", don't take it personally, and please please continue to care, whatever you decide is best for yourself and our country. -- Every work of art is an uncommitted crime.
