>Point: When Israel was created it was supposed to be
>aside an Arab state (the term Palestinians was not
>created or used until years later)

Mike, with all due respect, then what were the
Palestinians called before 1948 ? that contradicts
everything you say about the history of Israel, and
the history and arguments of everyone here. But take my
father for example, what was he before 1948 ? if not a
Palestinian ?

>Point: when Israel was created, it was immediately
>invaded by every Arab country around it.

so ? Israel invaded the Palestinians(or whatever they
were called!!) and created there state and then the
arab world invaded them in return. How is that wrong
or assume it is,what difference does it make today ?

>Point: A large chunk of the land assigned to the
>Palestinian state was taken by both Egypt and Jordan,
>neither of which decided to give it to the
>Palestinians.

Ha ? so you are saying from your point 1, that Israel
and Palestine where both created in 1948 ?, but
instead of the Palestinians getting the land, the
other arab countries took it ? what land is that ?

>Point: Israel signed a treaty with Arafat where he
>said he's stop the attacks and fighting.

what does that have to do with what we are talking
about, and so did Israel sign a treaty that
settlements would stop and the West bank and ramallah
would not be Re-occupied,and look where are we
today.. and where does that leave us, and what does it
prove ?you saying that justifies what is happening
today ?so is this a capital punishment of all the
Palestinians ?

>Point: When the Palestinans want peace they'll have
>to stand up to those who are willing to let them die
>for war; their Arab brothers.

The arab brothers are not the ones opressing or
committing the crimes in ramallah and Betlaham and all
over the west bank, I dont see how that makes a case
for anything ?But then, what makes me wonder how much
of a wasted opportunity Sharon just wasted to make
peace with arab nations. The arab countries all agreed
to make peace with Israel, all of them, all signed a
treaty, and you can say that some points do not sit
well with Israel, and thats fine, and you can say
that Sharon does not trust the arab countries that
they will all abide by itBut this is a dream come
true for Israelis, something they been asking for
since there existence, WHY not give it a chance, why
not welcome the offer for peace, the details can be
worked out, they offered him a hand for peace that not
your kids or my kids might ever see again in there
life timewhat did he have to loose ? if it didnt
work out, he could alwas unleash the slaughter and
destruction that he is commiting now.I dont get
it.what else does he want ?instead the day ofter he
unleashes terror in the name of fighting terror, now
millions all over the world are protesting and
standing with the Palestinians, he Is mostly hurting
the Israeli public first, and you know they will be a
lot of revenge after this, and then Jews all over the
worldhe is even helping his old buddy Arafat and
glorifying him into a hero..... Sharon made a wrong
turn with his actions, and when he is all done, there
is nothing he has achieved, not one thing, he knows
it, and the Israeli public know itwell actualy except
for the lifes lost, buildings and houses can alwas be
rebuilt......and i dont see how this was supposed to
stop "terrorism" seems to me its a call to increase it.
