I got the distinct pleasure of seeing a momma and two calves a few years ago
when I was snowmobling near Moosehead Lake, ME with some family friends.
Absolutely amazing how huge they are and how not scared they are of people,
for the most part.  I guess if you're weighing in at around a ton, not a lot
scares you.

Have seen a couple from the side of the road since then, but that close-up
sighting is something I'll never forget.  It was breathtaking.
