I think you are right... I admit I am a news junkie. I read CNN.com
all day, have a subscription to Newsweek and the Tennessean and watch
CNN/FOXNEWS(for humor)/Daily Show et al. all day long on a TV in my
office.

I think she is a lot like my wife who will read an article if it is
sent to her or somebody says something to here. Occasionally she will
say something like "Did you hear about the..." And 9/10 times I have
already read it and it could have been 2-3 days ago. She actually gets
mad at me and now says things like "I am sure you have already heard
this..." anytime she brings something up.

My wife does not read any publications... occasionally a Newsweek
cover will catch her eye and she will pick it up but that is maybe 2-3
times a year(Out of 50 issues).

She gets all her news from me or from people she comes in contact with
and is very ignorant to the world affairs around her. This isn't her
fault it just isn't an interest of hers and being a stay-at-home mom
she really has no reason for it to be.

Palin is very versed in the affairs of Alaska, which she should be,
but is far from a "Expert on Energy" as I heard Elizabeth on The View
call her... folks she was in an oil rich state, she is an expert on
how to tax Oil Companies and that is it. She doesn't have anything to
say on Foreign Policy because she just hasn't thought about it... and
neither has my wife.

I guess my point is that my wife has the same world view as she
does... She might read something if it is passed across her desk but
has no real interest in world policy and affairs.

And as Fareed Zacharia said in his latest article on her "It's a hell
of a time to start!"

OK go ahead and filter me now! :-)
