Administration is the area to tackle. I have a client that sells a health care portal service to hospitals, etc. They have real traction in the market. There are so many medical businesses that lack doctor-to-patient automation, there is a huge opportunity there.
As for those powerful interests, I would say that times are changing. People are starting to see the real business benefits of portals and the like, and the money is starting to flow. I hope the credit crunch doesn't sap the hospitals of capital to invest in these kinds of projects.
