Bush's grades are in. He gets an A+ on defending the country against another
terrorist attack and a D to an F on almost everything else. He does get a C+
for having the guts to stay in Iraq and pushing for peace freedom for the
Iraqi people. He would have gotten an A+, but it took him five years to find
the right general to make it work.

Speaking of Bush's grades, I still would not have supported John Kerry in
2004. If Kerry was President, Iraq would be a failed state. As Bruce and
many others can attest, Iraq is not a failed state. Iraq is a state on the
way to peace and stability, largely because the USA had the intestinal
fortitude to continue the fight and support democracy and freedom in a land
that had seen neither. Say what you want about Bush. Say what you want about
Cheney and Rumsfeld and all the rest of them. Bush made a tough decision to
stay in Iraq, and for the sake of the Iraqi people, for the sake of the
Middle East, and for America and the world, it was the right choice.
