Begich isn't conceding yet, btw. There are still more votes to be counted and some irregularities to be investigated. I read that one precinct, for instance, showed almost no votes for either Begich or Stevens and showed all the votes for 2 independents. Likely some screwed up machines there.
Regardless, Stevens could get together with William Jeffereson from LA and form their own little Felons Caucus. Hopefully Jefferson will be convicted soon and the House and Senate will decide not to seat either of them (if Stevens wins). Of course now I'm thinking that with Obama leaving the Senate and Illinois having a crazy Governor that we are goin gto see a trend. Blagojevich appoints himself to the Senate to avoid a tough reelection (and possible indictment) and then Palin appoints herself to Steven's seat to avoid a tough reelection and possible indictment. Then they can have their crazy ex-governor caucus in the Senate :) Judah On Wed, Nov 5, 2008 at 8:39 PM, Beth In Alaska <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> Your fellow Alaskans apparently just vote Republican. >> >> Look on the bright side.
