I thought that with the obvious exception of the early INT, the Giants played a flawless first quarter. Hard to think otherwise when the other team has the ball for a total of 90 seconds. Unfortunately, their 2 big mistakes in the first half (both turnovers) were capitalized on by the Iggles and we essentially spotted 'em 14 points. Then we went from being a flawless team to being a good team (yeah, I still think they played reasonably well). Whatever it was that Coughlin taught Tiki... he needs to teach Jacobs and Bradshaw (Ward doesn't seem to lose the ball as much as those two, but might as well teach him as well... ounce of prevention and all that). The ball does come out *entirely* too often. But it was what everyone expected it to be. An out-and-out brawl. Really good game to watch. In the end, yeah, we shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times and let them hang in until the end. But a good team finds ways to overcome the obstacles... even if those obstacles were self-imposed. Philly's a good team that had momentum going into this game. I'm pretty happy with the win. We're lucky that we do have decent depth at a lot of positions. Hell we've got so much that I'm expecting (not looking forward to, but expecting) to see a few players gone at the end of the season. I don't think we'll be able to keep 3 kickers (altho Feagles may retire on his own... but not sure Carney or Tynes can punt?). Our 3 running backs are all first string caliber, IMO, and not sure how long Bradshaw's going to be content to play special teams and/or sit until the 4th quarter. At receiver, we've got Plax, Toomer, Tyree, Manningham, Smith, Moss, Hixon... am I forgetting anybody? Manningham I know nothing of (don't follow college ball), so I guess I wouldn't be heartbroken if he left. Moss has had a few good plays, but isn't as good as his brother. Toomer... how many more years can he play? Anyway... we're past the halfway point. Haven't been bitten too badly by injuries yet. Hopefully we can get thru the last half of the season and look forward to a bye :) -- I have failed as much as I have succeeded. But I love my life. I love my wife. And I wish you my kind of success. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:279634 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
