no reason not to get an iPod. every accessory out there is designed for iPod. I just installed an iPod interface for my wife's Uplander so that she can hook up her iPod, throw it in the glove box and still control it from her steering wheel controls.
My alarm clock interfaces with my iPod. At work we have an Ipod dock that hooks straight into the 60" lcd that allows it to show video and play audio through the sound bar --- remotely controlled.
