I think that you are asserting that Vista is not backwards compatible with applications written for previous version of Windows. I would agree with that.
I prefer not to re-buy "compatible versions" of all my apps when I move to a newer version of Windows. I also don't want to have to fight the OS just to make something run. The main reason I haven't switched to Mac is that I would have to buy all new replacements for all my software. With this version of Windows (Vista) I guess it's the same thing. Microsoft is getting better and better at selling Macs. -Cameron On Tue, Dec 30, 2008 at 1:56 PM, Vivec <[email protected]> wrote: > If the app wasn't created to support Vista, then it isn't an app that is > 'supposed' to work is it? > > 2008/12/30 Cameron Childress <[email protected]> > > Any OS that requires me to try all those things just to run an app that > > should work out of the box is not an OS I want to use. > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:283549 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
