I am so freaking pissed off right now I am considering calling out sick until the situation is resolved.
I finally got my last years raise which was apparently due in april of 2001a month ago. Since then I have been trying to get my back pay and have been given the runaround. Finally, the week before last my hr rep called me, apologized and told me it would be in last friday's paycheck and that she had just spoken to payroll who had told her it would be done. It wasn't. Friday I emailed payroll who sent me a nasty message about how I got the raise EARLY and there was no back pay to be had. They thought it was THIS YEARS increase and claim HR never spoke to them. I was pissed off all weekend about it. This morning payroll emailed and said they checked their records and were very sorry that I didnt' get a raise last year but the effective date on the paperwork was 2002. They had a call into HR and would take care of it right away. I have heard nothing since. I figure I am just not coming to work until I get that money.
