I think the net can deffinately provide a way for people to meet others. One thing the net offers over a bar setting is that you can't actually see the other person. That gives people a certain courage to be very open and honest (sometimes too honest.) I'm sure we all know someone who knows someone who met online and started out innocently but soon were in over their head before they knew it.
