Our four are the same. When I put them away in the morning (they're out for
a couple of hours before I go to work), they're asleep. Now they don't even
notice when I haul them out from under the bed, my desk, the bottom drawer
of my dresser, or the middle of the bed, or where ever the stash spot of the
moment is, to put them away.

They will appear almost comatose - then there'll be an itch and the ferret
will burst into motion trying to scratch the itch.
