Well that was the first thing I thought of doing but I can't find  anything
that says access will store the data if two people go in at the same time to
enter in records using the mde.

I think you may need to turn it into a MDE file. I'm looking at an old
(circa 2001) access program they used to use at my work which allowed
network access and multiple users and in the program folder there's the a
..mdb file and a .mde file. We have to run the mde to use the program.
