Less absurd...hmmm...well, I find religion to be its own category of absurd. But even if you don't think it less absurd, I'd hope you would consider it less dangerous.
I've been personally spat upon by PETA members and compared to Hitler. I have little but derision for them. Same thing can be said for the ELF. None the less, I don't consider them at all in the same category as the people that threatened me when I was a clinic escort.
