Social Security is an amazing success. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid changed the face of America and have provided a safety net for millions of people, making their lives significantly better than what they would have been. A perfect program? No, of course not. I don't think you'll ever see a perfect government program just like you won't ever see a perfect corporation or a perfect product. SS, Medicare and Medicaid are right at the top of the most far-sighted and useful government programs ever conceived along with the Nation Parks system.
