No, it is the exact opposite of how we got into this crisis. We got here because smart people in Washington and on Wall Street told everyone else to let them handle the hard stuff, and then they proceeded to fuck it all up. > It's why we've got a crisis of ethics. > > I want managers that throw out big hairy audacious goals and then hold > themselves accountable to achieve them. Aiming big and managing expectations are not mutually exclusive. You seem to be confusing being a chicken-shit with managing expectations. By the way, Obama and his team have furiously been trying to lower expectations ever since the election, so they understand how the game is played. They just created such HUGE expectations during the campaign that they are SOL now unless they deliver the goods every step of the way. The bottom line - if you are going to swing big, you better be damn sure you can knock it out of the park, because if you strike out you walk back to the dugout looking like a shithead. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:287638 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
