Just a number of statements that make a lot of implications and are not true.
"The Israeli military keeps journalists at a distance, so we can only imagine what
we're not allowed to see: the shoe, the handbag, walls smeared with Palestinian blood."
The first example he used using these words were of a suicide bomber. This implies
that the same happens to the Palestinians. Not true. The deaths of civilians during
operations like defensive shield are accidents rather than targets. Look at the real
news coming from Jenin where they're seeing that there was no massacre, the number of
dead is much lower than the PA wants the world to believe and they're almost all
militants. Israel has not gone out of its way to kill civilians, just the opposite.
There is no juxtaposition here.

"Israeli hard-liners insist that the only way to achieve peace is through Ariel
Sharon's nightmare policies of West Bank incursions, targeted assassinations and
ever-expanding settlements. It's a fantasy based on crushing, if not eliminating, the
Palestinians"
The incursions happen in response to suicide bombings, not for 'fun'. The targeting of
terrorists is the same (and I support killing killers before they kill). The 'ever
expanding settlements' is another tern used with no truth. Most 'settlements' are not
expanding but are shrinking. As a final note, using terms like hard liners to say that
there's only the bad guys behind this is false. The 'soft liners' or whatever the term
for them is has also been behind the governments actions.

"Without a viable Palestine, the old dream of an Israel at peace will remain a
fantasy."
Unless that 'viable Palestine' rejects terror there will never be peace with Israel so
the entire statement is a fantasy.

"Last year, the Israeli group Rabbis for Human Rights began collecting money to
replant some of the more than 30,000 Palestinian olive trees that have been bulldozed
by the Israeli military."
Bulldozed because they were used as sniper positions. The group happens to be one of
those apologetic "we have to save and support the Palestinians no matter how many Jews
die" type groups that have not done anything to help the situation but instead has
caused harm.

No disrespect to Ben or anyone else on this list but I've found that many Reform Jews
hold the same basic idea that this guy does, an idea promoted and disbursed by the
reform communities leaders. It's a very left wing, give it all away, peace no matter
what idea that blinds itself to the reality of whats going on in Israel. Individual
people in the reform movement do as they will, but the leadership has been showing
this for a while now and I think it totally sucks.
