Frankly a plague on both houses. In both cases they are letting their ideology drive their research rather than the opposite. Its piss poor research in the end.
Besides look at the data from the really large datasets like the NORC 2000 and beyond longitudinal study where ethnicity and race were measured as part of the study. In most analyses of the data I've seen racial and ethnic factors are so intertwined with socio-economic status that any conclusions about race cannot be reasonably made. Moreover there are quite a few research studies that show within group variation on intelligence is much larger than any between group variation when it comes to racial factors. So as far as I can see its just intellectual masturbation. >In the first of two opposing commentaries, Steven Rose argues that >studies investigating possible links between race, gender and >intelligence do no good. > >In the second, Stephen Ceci and Wendy M. Williams argue that such >research is both morally defensible and important for the pursuit of >truth. > >http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v457/n7231/full/457786a.html > >Clearly, based on logic from this list, Ceci and Williams are bigots. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:289495 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
