Here are a couple of experiences I had when I worked as a paramedic.
1. We had a call at a big huge church (can't remember the denomination) for
someone who had a seizure. While I am talking to her husband to find out
what happened, he stops me and asks 'Have you found Jesus?' My reply, 'I
didn't know he was lost.' He would not speak to me after that.

2. We had a guy who was having a massive heart attack
and refusing medical care stating it went against his religious beliefs and
said 'If God wants to, he will save me'. I asked him 'How do you know God
didn't send us to do just that?" He decided to go to the hospital.
