Typical Gruss, you like to draw your own conclusions from my arguments so you can then rebut your conclusions rather than trying to rebut my arguments. I have never argued for unlimited unchecked power, that is a deluded fantasy-world conclusion that you made on your own.
I said that the warrantless wiretapping program was OK as long as it targeted terrorist activities (your guru Obama is on the same page as me on this count). As far as KSM and the other AQ leadership goes, I am satisfied that whatever the CIA did to them saved the lives of a lot of innocent people. If Obama ever has to make the same choice about getting critical intelligence to prevent imment attacks against Americans (and let's hope he doesn't have to make the choice), I'll bet he makes the same choice Bush did. As for potential prosecutions, the only way it would work would be for whistleblowers with evidence of abuse of the wiretapping program to step forward. Given the history of the last eight years, I would expect that to happen if the evidence exists. On Tue, Mar 3, 2009 at 11:48 AM, Gruss wrote: > > > RoMunn wrote: > > For what, exactly?
